	Franz Martin Olbrisch   (born 1952) studied composition at the Berlin University of the Arts between 1979 and 1985. From 1988 to 2008, he was a lecturer in composition and studio technology at the Berlin University of the Arts, and from 1999 to 2008, he taught composition at the Electronic Studio at the Technical University of Berlin. Between 1994 and 2014, he was a lecturer at the International Darmstadt Summer Courses for New Music on several occasions, and between 2008 and 2020 he was professor of electronic music at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden.
